Job Description/Responsibility
- Plan, develop, and execute compliance audits for Aarong’s own production hub, Ayesha Abed Foundation, Independent Producers, and other production hubs.
- Conduct frequent field visits to production hubs and Independent Producers outside Dhaka to ensure proper implementation of social compliance initiatives. Prepare and analyze relevant reports and documentation as required by the supervisor and senior management.
- Track operational activities periodically against established benchmarks. Prepare detailed reports on audit findings, compliance status, and corrective actions using the designated system.
- Design and develop industry-specific intervention plans addressing key compliance issues, safeguarding ethical production practices, and enhancing overall production standards.
- Support Aarong’s producers and artisans in implementing Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) through timely monitoring and system improvements.
- Design and deliver training programs on social compliance standards, local and international labor laws, and best practices tailored for Independent Producers, artisans, and administrative staff.
- Promote awareness and understanding of compliance requirements through workshops and developmental interventions to ensure sustainable and ethical practices.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure consistent implementation of compliance initiatives across production units.
- Act as the primary liaison with external auditors and stakeholders to maintain compliance with international standards, including WFTO, BSCI, SA8000, and ILO conventions.
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation
- Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so.
Additional Academic Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline (Preferably in Business Administration (BBA) / Development Studies / Economics) from any reputed university.
Experience Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience is required.
Additional Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in the development sector/ administration / training and development organization / NGOs.
Skills Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of local and international labor laws.
- Familiarity with social auditing standards (e.g. WFTO, BSCI, SA8000, ILO) is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in project management and data management tools.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Bangla.
