Job Description/Responsibility

  • Our client is looking to appoint a very motivated, hardworking, ambitious Sales person, who they can groom into their next Field Sales Executive.
  • The Opportunity:
  • This career development opportunity is on offer for someone who will quickly immerse themselves in the product range, learn the in’s and outs of the industry as they manage the internal sales function.
  • This company is growing at 30 – 40 % each year. They need to grow their more senior sales team and the best way is to bring someone up internally.
  • So, there is a very definite plan to for the person in this role, to further develop in the business and will be out on the road selling the larger commercial / industrial structures by early next year.

  • The first 6-8 months: The Internal Sales Function:  Focusing on the smaller industrial range. All internal sales enquiries will come to you.  Some you will be able to close on the phone. Others may require a site visit before you can close. To be successful in this part of the role you will need to be able to quickly relate to the customers, assess their needs, sell on features and benefits. You will manage the full internal sales function, working with both new and existing clients, managing a sales pipeline and giving first rate customer service. You will attend trade events and field days…. All the time developing product and industry knowledge.

  • You need to come from a sales background and be at the right stage in your career to recognize this opportunity as a really great development opportunity.  You will have to be able to sell on the phone, as that is where you will start. You will bring some technical intelligence and the ability to relate to a wide range of customers. You will a high level of self-motivation, you work well autonomously and are comfortable managing a sales pipeline . And of course, you will be someone who is looking for a long-term career and will work hard to achieve it.
