Job Description/Responsibility

This is a stand-alone opportunity that requires someone that is a self-driver, with the initiative, energy, and self-confidence along with the necessary audit skills and tactical experience to help initiate and drive global payroll compliance. The successful individual will be responsible for independently conducting internal payroll audits to ensure our end to end (hire to retire) global payroll practices are complete and accurate as well as initiating and implementing, actionable payroll compliance strategies.

Obtain comprehensive understanding of current practices
Design and implement an effective and efficient global payroll control environment
Root cause analysis to identify systemic (organizational, processes, and systems) problems/issues
Identify and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner
Produce reports that highlight and track findings and include actionable remediation strategies
Promote best practices by being recognized as the subject matter expert on global payroll compliance

Experience Requirements

  • 5+ years in audit.
    Candidate should have working experience on planning, executing and finalizing internal audits.
    Prior experience working in payroll process improvement or auditing payroll process is an added advantage

Education Requirements

  • Chartered Accountant (Required) - with relevant prior Internal audit experience.

Skills Requirements

Self-Starter with the ability to work independently.
Results oriented, strong sense of urgency, proactive and attention to detail.
Proficient in process study/improvements, including analytical skills, as well as measure, and report compliance issues
Knowledge of audit and payroll practices, policies and procedures.
Excellent interpersonal skills; strong written communication skills, capability to communicate clearly and effectively across various levels in the organization.
Ability to drive change within all levels of the organization, perform multi tasks and meet deadlines
Strong understanding of the COSO framework, SOX requirements, and identification/testing of Internal controls
Computer savvy and proficient in MS Excel as well as Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
Travel
Will require occasional domestic and international travel
