Job Description/Responsibility

  • (Subject to personal qualification employees are remunerated 
    according to salary group E 13 TV-L)
  • The position will be available at the earliest possible date, entails 50% of the fulltime weekly hours and is limited until the 30.06.2021 with the possibility of extension. The period of employment is governed by the Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz - WissZeitVG). The position aims at obtaining further academic qualification (e.g. PhD).
  • Tasks: Successful candidates are expected to work in the DFG Transregio 67 (www.trr67.de) project ‘Development and characterization of artificial extracellular matrices based on collagen and glycosaminoglycan derivatives’ together with other groups from the universities of Leipzig, Berlin and Dresden. This includes: biophysical and immune-biochemical investigations to study interactions between glycosaminoglycan derivatives and proteins in detail and the preparation and diversified characterization of artificial extracellular matrices from collagen and glycosaminoglycan derivatives.
  • Requirements: university degree (e.g. diploma or masters) in materials science, biology, biochemistry or related. Expertise in one or more of the areas cell culture, immune-biochemistry, and biophysical methods, especially SPR as well as tissue engineering and bio surface-engineering is advantageous.
