Job Description/Responsibility

  • Are you a natural leader who can inspire innovation? Do you have a record of delivering complex and challenging projects with outstanding results? If so, then this exciting opportunity in a stunning location in Victoria could be ideal for you.
  • At Alpine Shire Council we're constantly looking for new ways to deliver the best possible outcomes for our communities, so we're looking for someone with an innovative perspective, an entrepreneurial flair; someone who can imagine possibilities and transform them into realities.
  • Under your guidance and direction, you will inspire a high-performing team to practice and promote the organisation's values. Part of the senior leadership group, you will ensure that objectives set out in the Council Plan are achieved, as well as implement an integrated, strategic approach to service delivery.
  • You nurture positive, productive relationships, and your optimistic, energetic personality is a positive influence on those around you.
  • You will be responsible for these areas:
  •          Asset Development (including project planning, project development, and project delivery)
  •          Asset Maintenance (including engineering support, civil works, open spaces, emergency management, and plant and fleet management)
  •          Economic and Community Development (including public health and wellbeing, tourism and industry development, events, and emergency recovery)
  • What are we looking for?
  • You will have many qualities, in particular inspirational people leadership, exceptional negotiation and relationship skills, and a standout passion for service excellence. Your record of achieving outstanding results will speak for itself, and you will bring a set of skills that will be of great value to the Alpine Shire.
