Job Description/Responsibility

  • Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to join a successful & growing business based in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop a career within Finance due to the blend of this varied role.
  • Reporting to the Finance Manager; you will be providing effective day-to-day accounts support across all aspects of the department.
  • My client offers a fantastic, dynamic working environment with free parking on-site however the office is also easily reachable via public transport.
  • Duties & Responsibilities:
  • - Manage the Petty cash including processing all transactions
  • - Responsibility for all matters relating to Credit control and report findings to management; (telephone calls, sending email/letters, updating electronic log etc.)
  • - Cover for Purchase Ledger & dealing with all queries
  • - Analyse and process all employee expenses in line with IFRS and TAX regulations
  • - Record all employee expenses onto spreadsheets and report to External Accountants to aid preparation of the P11d's
  • - Check the P11d's and issue to all employees
  • - Record and control all fixed assets belonging to the company
  • - Reconciliation of marketing expenditure between actual and budget
  • - Process all month end reports in line with deadlines
  • - Bank postings and reconciliations
  • - Prepare and process the debit / credits for all customer rebates
  • - Prepare and carry out Stock takes on a qtly basis and prepare a report to management
  • - Payment of supplier invoices
  • - Process all GRN's on the SAP system
  • - Match all GRN's to purchase invoices and highlight any ICP variances immediately

Skills Requirements

  • *Experience using SAP (ESSENTIAL)
  • *Minimum 12 months Accountancy & Finance experience
  • *Excellent IT skills and use of Microsoft Office Packages (especially Excel)
