Job Description/Responsibility

  • About the role:

    The Product Owner collaborates with key Growth and Member Experience Business and Product Owners, and the Research, Analytics and Technology teams to drive digital initiatives across key channels from idea to launch, and scale. Reporting to the Product Lead, the Product Owner will adopt a customer focused and data driven approach to provide an exceptionally connected experience across HCF channels; and drive member acquisition, experience and retention. The successful candidate will be business savvy and creative with the demonstrated ability to ideate a number of solutions to help drive and shape HCF’s digital products to achieve Growth and Member Experience goals.
  • Please note; this role is a maternity leave contract that will be for a period of up to 12 months.
  • Key tasks of this role will be as follows:
  • Own the discovery and expression of the digital product vision and roadmap for given initiatives with the business
  • Work and collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage a digital roadmap and initiatives with business owners, stakeholders, data and analytics and technology teams
  • Define and proactively monitor key performance metrics to support and inform digital product decisions
  • Use analytics, market research, usability studies, and competitive analysis to drive effective decision making
  • Work with key business owners and stakeholders to ensure the value of features and epics are identified and that the value is delivered on time and on budget
  • Manage the product development lifecycle from ideation to launch - delivering experiences that are simple, easy to use, delight customers and are in-line with Growth and Member Experience goals and priorities
  • Define business themes and features at an epic level and work closely with the business owners and key stakeholders to define phasing and scope of initiatives.
  • Liaise daily and attend agile ceremonies with UX designers, scrum masters, developers, testers and producers to create products customers will love.
  • Collaborate and communicate with key stakeholders and product sponsors to align product expectations and delivery dates.
  • Pro-actively manage dependencies across the wider digital roadmap and also with other divisions, to ensure products and functionality are delivered in-line with business activities.

  • 3-5years + experience delivering end to end digital experiences, digital transformation programs of work in an agile environment
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and deliver against goals with a strong focus on details and outcomes
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a superior ability to make things happen through the use of impact and influence
  • Strong business acumen and results driven
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to convey concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and unambiguous manner.
  • Advanced understanding of analytics tools e.g. Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, TeaLeaf etc
  • A strong understanding of common digital concepts. e.g. HTML, CSS, system integration, clickstream analytics, user testing, prototyping
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with a bias for customer focused innovation
  • Bachelor’s degree in either a technology or business discipline
