Job Description/Responsibility

  • The Senior Capability Officer is responsible for developing the Department of Health and Human Service's emergency management capability, including people, resources, systems and processes. This role contributes to the development and implementation of programs to drive emergency management workforce capability uplift and supports the management of the Department's emergency management surge workforce. The role contributes to the Department's Business Continuity management arrangements and activities as well as to planning and activities to build resilience to disruptions to essential services, and ensuring the department meets its responsibilities in relation to critical infrastructure under the Emergency Management Act 2013.
