The Global Services Leadership Development Program (GSLDP) is a rotational program consisting of multiple 6 month assignments. These assignments will incorporate the major components of the Global Services organization including but not limited to our customer service, professional service, strategy and operations, presales, supply chain, and manufacturing organizations. We need individuals who can think critically and solve problems, be flexible and adaptable, and willing to become a change agent and thought leader for the next generation of technology.
Analytically resolve technical issues of varying complexities and participate in entire product life cycle (innovate, create, sustain, maintain)
Work under limited supervision and provide technical expertise by independently resolving complex software engineering problems.
Understand company goals and business unit practices and apply them when resolving a variety of problems.
Work in a team environment with excellent communication skills
Perform technical project leadership roles such as defect analysis, estimation.
Follows critical software engineering methods or processes, predominantly release engineering processes.
Analyze and determine complexity in modules, define data structures, and specify test tools.
Provides technical expertise in developing solutions to complex software engineering problems, which require frequent use of ingenuity and creativity.
Works effectively with cross-functional and/or global teams, readily shares information with others.
Responds to customer escalations and drives resolution to customer issues
Provides solutions for wide range of complex problems. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions, under only limited direction.
Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives, without appreciable direction.
Understands and adheres to cost/delivery/ quality targets established by business directions.
In-depth demonstrated operating system knowledge of Windows and/or Linux. Expertise in Solaris, HP-UX, or AIX is a plus.
Strong knowledge in C Programming on Linux/ Unix/ Windows
Linux/Unix/ Windows (File handling, networking concepts, protocol understanding (rpc, IPC), Windows registry, Performance profiling, Virtualization concepts
Strong demonstrated knowledge of multi-threading, RPC, TCP/IP and inter-process communication is a must.
Experience in multi-platform (Linux, Windows) core dump analysis
Analytical skills to reason out and solve complex hangs, and performance issues using tools (such as gdb, win debugger, strace, sar etc).
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Software Engineering processes: Maven, Perforce
Experience implementing for large scale Enterprise wide distributed systems
Solve complex problems with sound, quality solutions
Exposure to Backup & Recovery Use Cases
Well versed with Software Engineering processes from Requirement Analysis to Use case Design to Deployment to Post Deployment support stages
Exposure to Storage, Networking protocols (iSCSI, SAN, FC, NDMP, TCP/IP, DNS etc.)
Working experience ESX/Virtual center
Experience in leading Technical teams with highly competent engineers.
