Job Description/Responsibility

  • SF Group is currently recruiting for a Head of Commercial Operations. This role will sit within the Senior Management Team and be responsible for both Customer Service and Marketing. In addition, the Head of Commercial Operations will be responsible for developing a new team within Sales/Business Development.
  • This role would suit a candidate who is looking for that next step up in their career. Someone who has previously worked at management level who is now looking to step into a more senior role and really drive the development of a business! Previous experience within Logistics, Warehouse or Transportation would be ideal.
  • The role will require someone to assist in the development of all commercial activities, implement a commercial strategy and ensure that commercial success is achieved
  • Typical duties will include:
  • - Uphold corporate values being responsible for providing a positive and encouraging atmosphere at all times to ensure all staff work to the best of their abilities
  • - Working with all members of staff to maintain and develop a positive progressive culture within the business
  • - Manage all aspects of effective supervision, training & development and health, safety & welfare of the wider
  • - Conduct weekly meetings with Commercial Team (once recruited) and Managing Director to include the dissemination of Company messages
  • - Ensure all processes are adhered to by all managers and staff
  • - Analyse management reports in order to continuously improve processes and outcomes
  • - Collating and analysing business data pertinent to all commercial activities
  • - Ensuring that all commercial activities meet or improve on budget, cost, volume and efficiency targets (KPIs)
  • - Assisting in developing then lead the implementation of the sales and marketing strategy for the business
  • - Working as part of the senior management team to define and implement the overall business strategy
  • - Acting as the main sales contact for prospective clients and the sales account owner for customers
  • - Develop and maintain an excellent understanding of the key customers and target audience to ensure their needs are being met
  • - Sourcing and developing qualified leads, converting these in to loyal customers
  • - Reviewing revenue and profit targets, predicting growth line initiatives
  • - Conducting business reviews with existing clients to ensure they are receiving high customer service to meet the business demands
