Job Description/Responsibility

  • Introduction
    An eminent organisation in the FMCG industry has an opportunity for an IT Analyst. The purpose of the role is to optimise, improve and analyse business processes relating to the organisations South Africa environment as well as translating user needs to functional design and build phase by developing relevant business requirement documents.
  • Description
    • Create, analyse, and validate detailed business requirements specifications.
    • Deliver elements of systems design, including data migration rules, business rules, wireframes, or other detailed deliverables.
    • Identify the current and future state business processes.
    • Support the business process owner with defining and maintaining business processes in order to improve and understand business processes within their respective areas.
    • Facilitate design sessions with the implementation team to define the solution and provide input to functional design documents.
    • Partner with the business through working with business representatives (BPO and Key Users) in order to develop and maintain an IT solution portfolio that will guarantee the execution and development of business processes ensuring a high customer satisfaction.
    • Understand business needs and requirements, manage priorities, define and assist in the maintenance of a solutions portfolio with strategic roadmaps.
    • Support system specific functional design requirements in order to enhance system functionality as per user requirement.
    • Support business application testing and related activities to ensure that functional changes are delivered as per requirement.
    • Participate in improvement initiatives in order to play a supportive role to functional owners.
    • Attend improvement initiative meetings in order to report on assigned action progress.
    • Analyse business systems to determine effectiveness.
    • Identify inadequacies, inefficiencies and problems and recommend solutions.
    • Develop system specifications.
    • Coordinate and conduct user group education and problem-solving sessions related to assigned projects.

Skills Requirements

  • University Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology or Information Science.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years relevant working experience.
  • SAP Business Analysis experience would be preferred.
  • SAP FI functional experience.
  • SAP CO - Product costing; COPA experience.
  • SAP Procure to Pay (MM)/HCM (Success Factors) functional experience would be advantageous.
  • Procurement NC1 specialisation would be advantageous.
