Job Description/Responsibility

    If you are not afraid of prospecting, building relationships, closing large clients and then account managing them (along with a support team) this will be a highly rewarding role for you! You can be based on the NORTH SHORE or EAST /SOUTH AUCKLAND offices.  But the majority of the time – you’ll be out seeing clients!

    About the role

    • Out & about, prospecting and winning new med-large spend clients, and increasing market share in existing, this role is mainly Auckland based (some other North Island regions, but travel is minimal).
    • With multi-sites this role will be perfect for you no matter where you reside in Auckland.
    • The role involves winning and then Account Managing clients and managing their expectations. Therefore you need to be a hunter/farmer to be successful in this role.
    • Print background is essential as you will be responsible for branded product.  A Packaging or Labels background would be advantageous.
    • These clients expect a great understanding of Marketing, NPD and Procurement processes and priorities.
    • The role is heavily supported by technical, sales support, operations and management, so you can focus on what you do best - initiating and building relationships with large spend clients.

Skills Requirements

  • You must be a sales hunter, with proven success in a business development role.
  • In this high-volume market, you need to be armed with tenacity and patience and able to succeed with a longer sales cycle.
  • You have great client relationships and are used to dealing with multiple contacts and parties to close the sale.
  • From a manufacturing or import/distribute background in labels or packaging, you have strong expertise in print and brand management as well as strong technical aptitude.
  • You have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, able to comfortably present solutions to corporate clients and are of course professionally presented.
  • You have drive and ambition and can work autonomously to achieve targets and goals (you do not need to be micro-managed).
