Job Description/Responsibility

    • My client is a brewery based in Berkshire with a busy bar and kitchen on site.The also own some stunning pubs across Berkshire, Oxfordshire and London.
    • They are now looking for great Assistant Manager to join their team near Reading, Berkshire.Ideally you will have a passion for great beers, great food and great service.
    • It's a unique site located next to the Brewery and has stunning views over the Berkshire country side
    • Serving fresh locally sourced food, the breweries own beers, along with a great selection wines, spirits and soft drinks.
    • They serve a mixture of British and European flavours on its fresh seasonal menu.
    • Serving quality starters, sharers, pizzas, pies and street food style dishes.
    • All complimented by their own selections of ales and craft beers.

    What you’ll be doing:

    • As an assistant manager you will be an integral part of the management team, reporting into the general manager and the operations manager.
    • You will run the front of house service on a daily basis.
    • Looking after guests and helping the team to deliver great service.
    • You will have responsibility for all areas front of house, including: Garden, retail shop, bars & kitchen.
    • You will train and develop the team, with a big emphasis on all things beer, food and service.
    • Full engagement and involvement in back office operations including rota planning, stock control and ordering.
    • All aspects of health & safety

Skills Requirements

  • Must have at least one years experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within a restaurant, pub or QSR environment
  • Be a leader by example, loving hospitality and the industry
  • Have a great front of house presence and naturally inspire your team
  • Have a basic understanding of business operations;
  • Love great food and good service!
