Job Description/Responsibility

  • Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, The Director is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership for the development and delivery of the University Library to support and enhance the University’s Strategy involving research and engagement, education, and the student experience.
  • The ideal candidate will be an experienced senior manager and leader in the academic library sector with significant experience of strategic, financial and resource planning with a strong emphasis on change management. The successful post-holder must be able to demonstrate a vision of how the library and its collections, spaces and services can evolve to support research, education, the student experience and community engagement.
