Reporting to the Supervisor, UGL’s rolling stock maintenance depot based in Townsville is currently seeking experienced Mechanical Trades Assistants to join our team on a full-time basis.
Working as part of the Townsville Team, you will report to the Supervisor and as a Trades Assistant, you will assist qualified Trades and/or Technicians in the performance of their work in a safe and efficient manner to deliver an exceptional standard of service to clients.Responsibilities will include:
Assist tradespeople as instructed to enable work to be carried out
Fit and assemble metal parts, tools or sub-assemblies, including welding or brazing parts
Perform assembly and dismantling operations such as screwing and bolting, cable and equipment installations
We are looking for high achievers who strive for results and have a strong commitment to achieving safety standards. Key criteria will include:
Tickets and Licenses: Forklift& Bridge and Gantry Crane ticket is MUST
Please note that this role is not FIFO and a rigorous pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening will be conducted for short listed candidates.
