Position |

Manager, ED’s Office
Job Description/ Responsibilities:
- Support on driving organisation-wide learning
processes to continue BRAC’s effort to build and nurture a learning
culture within the organisation
- Assist on managing the annual goal setting process (AOP), in coordination with different programme and department teams
- Guide programmes/departments’ systematic internal
learning practices, through annual and mid-year reflection exercises,
focused on adjusting and improving their annual operating plans
(AOPs)
- Convene different working groups, consisting members
from different programmes, to work on different learning and reflection
exercises, related the organisatonal priorities—Annual Operating Plan
(AOP) review, Annual Progress Review (APR) etc.
- Coordinate timely preparation of ED’s deliverables
for meetings and engagements in liaison with other
programmes/departments, including donor/partner meetings, conferences,
etc.
- Assist in preparing the progress reports and
presentations for the ED for the governing body meeting and annual
general meeting, in consultation with programmes and departments across
BRAC
- Communicate possible gaps in the alignment of
strategic organizational documents (e.g. logframes, annual operating
plans, and donor requirements)
- Support on different strategy development initiatives, including country strategy and programmatic strategy
- Assist on managing projects that are of organistional importance, and which are led by the ED’s office
- Support on managing the implementation BRAC annual
operating plan (AOP), keeping track of the progress, and update senior
leadership
- Ensure the safety of team members from any harm,
abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s
goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support,
guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working
environment
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of
safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of
safeguarding standards in every course of action
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so

Requirements |
|
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from any recognized University
Experience Requirements:
- 3+ years in development or related field; ideally
having experience of working on strategic initiatives, including
fundraising, strategy development, monitoring and evaluation, etc
Additional Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of BRAC, its history, its programmes and culture
- Knowledge of strategy development, log frame and M&E framework development; strong quantitative skills
- Relationship management (internal and external)
- Strong communications—oral and written, ideally Bengali and English
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Critical thinking and strong attention to detail
- High competency in self-management, and the ability to break strategic guidance down into action items
- Comfortable working across a number of sectors, developing new domain knowledge
- Ability to work across cultures, with external stakeholders, international colleagues, etc.
- Resourceful in finding opportunities
- Ability to learn new technologies easily
- Interest in organisational development
- Strategic thinking
- Curious, constantly learning; adaptive
