Programme Head, Community Empowerment Programme
Job Description / Responsibility
- Play the strategic management role in the overall
planning, implementation and administration of CEP ensuring that
the programme meets its strategic and operational objectives
- Provide programmatic support and technical inputs
to develop programme/project strategies, policies and implement
plan in order to achieve programme results as required
- Identify new areas for programmatic interventions,
develop plans for initiating new innovations and operationalize
new initiatives/ pilots under different CEP components to ensure
their successful implementation
- Ensure timely response to relevant call for
proposals/ RFPs/ EOIs from different donors and lead the process
of development of technical and financial proposals, project
concept notes etc.
- Take initiative for capturing lessons learned and
best practices from existing interventions and new initiatives,
facilitate programme evaluation processes and knowledge management
practices within the programme
- Ensure field based internal monitoring and MIS
mechanism are in place for tracking of activities, outputs and
results of all CEP components and projects and oversight of budget
and other resources
- Lead the CEP team, supervise staffs and review annual performance appraisal of programme staff
- Coach and mentor programme staff to improve their
programming and analytical skills including project planning,
management, communication, monitoring, etc., develop team spirit
and strengthen integration among CEP's four component teams for
optimizing programme outcomes
- Oversee CEP's communications and documentation
related activities, development of IEC, BCC and any other
communications materials, ensure timely submission of donor reports
and maintain effective communication and liaison with donors,
development partners and other relevant stakeholders
Educational Requirements
- MDS/ MSS/ MDM from any recognised university with
minimum second class/ division or equivalent GPA/ CGPA 2.50 in all
academic examinations.No third class/ division or below CGPA 2.50 is
acceptable
Job Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in a national or
international development organization in an equivalent position
managing programmes/interventions on community development and
social mobilization, local governance and access to information
- Enough knowledge and understanding about the national and global development trends related to women empowerment.
- Good knowledge on Gender, Diversity and Good governance
- Proven analytical and decision making skills in a challenging context
- Excellent skills on leadership and people management , operation management, decision making and problem solving
- Skills in results- oriented programme, development and implementation
- Contribute positively in the team to achieve programme objectives
- Demonstrate personal integrity by using one's position responsibly and fairly
- Excellent skills on communications and documentation, change and risk management
- Have skills on project design and proposal/ concept writing
Job Location: Dhaka
Salary Range: Negotiable
