Deputy Program Officer � Information & Communication Technology and Business Solutions |
Job Purpose: To
contribute to develop and implement Information and Communication
Technology (ICT) and Business Solutions strategies for UCEP Bangladesh
at central and regional level in line with organizational policy
guidelines and relevant national regulations.
Job Location: Head Office
Responsibilities:
- To contribute to the assessment of ICT requirements
for effective and efficient program and business management of UCEP
Bangladesh.
- To contribute to develop ICT strategy of UCEP Bangladesh and ensure its implementation at central and regional level.
- To contribute to review organizational needs in
line with changing context and developments at national and
international level and upgrade ICT strategy and related services
accordingly.
- To develop and maintain necessary capacity based on
approved training plan of relevant staff in relation to effective and
efficient usage of ICT services.
- To develop and maintain automation process through
effective and efficient implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning
(ERP), Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Analytics, Block Chain
Management, etc.
- To develop and introduce new software, technology
based tools and software (coding with PHP, jQuery, AJAX, Java, HTML,
ASP.net etc.) for effective and efficient program and business
management.
- To review and upgrade existing ICT tools (e.g.
HRMS, Quickbook, Fixed Asset Register etc.) considering changing need
of the organization under the guidance of supervisor.
- To contribute to conduct risk assessment
systematically and ensure highest level security, integrity and
confidentiality in regard to all ICT related organizational (central
and regional level) systems and services including data management,
storage, archiving and reporting.
- To follow-up, analysis, monitoring and maintenance
of Servers (e.g. system logs, server health check, and Data Center
environment check, etc.) on regular basis under the guidance of
supervisor.
- To provide technical support to all departments
(central and regional level) based on a result based annual plan and
other support as and when required.
- To provide inputs for preparing quarterly ICT inventories for all departments at central and regional level.
- To contribute to preserve tangible and intangible
ICT related data and assets by implementing disaster recovery and
back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
- To contribute to prepare budget of ICT department and ensure effective and efficient implementation.
- To improve and maintain quality of ICT related services by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
- To ensure ethical requirements and legal compliances in ICT related issues.
- To contribute in managing websites of UCEP Bangladesh.
- To be responsible for Database Administration,
Management, Maintenance. Accountable to work in Joining, Views,
Triggers, Stored Procedures, Data Normalization, etc.
- To carry out other relevant tasks assigned by the Authority as and when required.
Essential Requirements:
- Masters in Computer Science and Engineering /
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) or B.Sc in Computer
Science and Engineering / Information and Communication Technology
(ICT).
- 4 years of relevant professional experience
including at least 1 year in mid-level role of managing ICT in a large
organization for Masters degree holders. Or 6 years of relevant
professional experience including at least 2 years in mid-level role of
managing ICT in a large organization for B.Sc. degree holders.
- Preference will be given to candidates having experience in developing and managing ERP.
- Excellent command of communication skills both in Bangla and English.
- Excellent computer operating skills &
conversant with latest ICT related hardware and software (e.g. PHP,
jQuery, AJAX, Java, HTML, ASP.net etc.).
- Self-motivated, adaptable and team player.
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently.
- Age limit for the applicant would be 35 years. Management has the ability to make exceptions based on qualifications.
