National Coordinator, Administration and Logistics

Context:

Terre des hommes Foundation (Tdh) is the leading Swiss child protection organization, present in Bangladesh since 1974. With 250 staff working in several districts, Tdh intervene in health, nutrition, food security, WASH and Protection, in both development and emergencies.

Asia Desk Financial Administrator at Headquarters, Switzerland

 
Main Responsibilities (finance & accounting):

Liable for the quality and reliability of accounting / SAGA

Bank and cash management

Main responsibilities (administration, Logistics and HR):

Qualifications & Competencies:

Education:

Master level in at least one of the following: Logistics, Finance, Human Resources, CCA, CA

Work Experience:

  1. A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Finance, Administration and Logistics with an International NGO, including at least 3 years in a coordination position.
  2. Experience in managing large portfolio of grants including EuropeAid, ECHO, DFID, Unicef, WFP, BPRM. Experience in managing consortiums is a plus.

Other Skills:

  1. Fluency in English, both writing and speaking
  2. Knowledge in MS applications with excellent Excel and Word processing

As well as the following specific (professional) competencies:

  1. Team work understanding and experience
  2. Good communication skill, both verbal and written
  3. Problem solving oriented
  4. Ability to work in pressure 

Others:

High degree of flexibility is expected; accepts new responsibilities when those are assigned by the line supervisor.
