Position |
|
Manager, Primary Health Care (Contractual), Humanitarian Crisis Management Project
Job Description/Responsibility:
- Oversee the day-to-day implementation of all
programs and ensure the smooth workflow at the different departments
of the Primary Health Care (PHC) and the medical points
- Ensure the implementation of PHC services in the
centers and the medical points to ensure that the project goals,
objectives, targets and activities are met
- Implements BRAC’s data collection tools, patient
files and records, information management systems and ensure that the
data collected is accurate and timely submitted
- Ensure that each staff member know and understand their respective role and responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision to the staff to ensure
the quality delivery of services and the implementation of the
different guidelines, procedures, SOPs and internal policies
- Follow up with the PHC and medical points
expenditure and ensure the timely development of financial,
procurement and logistical plans and requests to be submitted and
approved by the Health Lead
- Plan and prepare the regular weekly and monthly
work plan, duty and transportation rosters and ensure the appropriate
allocation of HR resources to ensure the smooth and uninterrupted
delivery of services to the beneficiaries
- Approve staff monthly timesheets, requests for
leaves and requests for trainings in line with BRAC policies and in
accordance to the project needs
- Ensure that proper drug management systems are
implemented and observed according to the agreed upon guidelines and
procedures
- Follow up medical and operational procurement
orders, pharmacy stock, recording and ensure the timely ordering of
pharmaceutical supplies with the close coordination with the PHC
Pharmacist and under the guidance of the Sector Specialist
- Monitor and identify the gaps and needs in the
community and services with collaboration with the Health Lead, Advisor,
Specialist and other BRAC programmes
- Conduct assessments when needed and provide the
management with plans and suggestions on how to adjust the different
programmes designs to meet them
- Conduct regular program performance reviews for
all primary healthcare center and medical points staff and ensure
feedback sessions happen with project staff to discuss corrective
action
- Report any problem in the filed concerning the
project or the staff to the management and follow on the
implementation of the corrective measures according to the HR policies

Requirements |
|
Educational Requirements:
MBBS or Bachelors in Nursing/ Pharmacy or any other
related subject from any recognised university/ institutions.
Candidates having MPH will get preference
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 5 years’ managerial experience in relevant field
Additional Job Requirements:
- Sound knowledge on Primary Health Care system
- Excellent problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to handle pressure
- Strong team management, leadership, coordination and negotiation skills
- Ability to adapt to changes and work in tense situations
- Strong motivation and ability to undertake regular field visits and interact with different stakeholders
- Ability to speak the local Chittagong dialect is a plus
