Chief of Party, BRAC Education Programme (Contractual)
Job Description/Responsibilities:
- Develop project implementation plan for achieving
the targets following the terms and conditions of the project with the
donor
- Lead the process to involve Directorate of Primary Education, Bangladesh to operate IIEGRA in govt. schools
- Coordinating with internal and external
stakeholders at field and head office level in setting up the principles
to implement the project
- Provide support and guideline to the three partners
BIED and CU-B for developing quality handouts and supplementary
materials to be implemented under the project
- Oversee the process of internal and external
stakeholders for developing and implementing annual work plan, guide the
Monitoring Officers of three partners to make USAID prescribed M&E
plan
- Ensuring expected quality for all the interventions
throughout the project activities as well as the qualitative achievement
of the whole project
- Input innovative ideas for exploring new thinking and achieving the targets and goal of the existing project
- Execute baseline, midline evaluation for the project and regular monitoring and audit for the project
- Maintaining professional collaboration with BEP
programmes and other organizations as READ, Room to Read, Sisimpur etc.
to develop innovative mechanism to for the better out-comes of IIEGRA
project
- Updates job knowledge by participating in
educational opportunities; reading professional publications;
maintaining personal networks; participating in professional
organisations

Requirements |
|
Educational Requirements:
Masters in any discipline from any recognized University
with minimum second class/division or equivalent CGPA in all academic
records..
Experience Requirements:
At least 10 years’ experiences in relevant field.
Additional Job Requirements:
- Have programme knowledge on non-formal education
program, early grade education, education for ethnic and other minority
groups, adolescent development program ect
- Knowledge on SDG, Development priority for 2016-2012, Five years plan of Bangladesh
- Knowledge on development of project proposals
- Sound knowledge about Primary curriculum and Primary
Education system of Bangladesh- Marginal competencies of Primary
Education, Quality education, Lifelong Education, PEDP III, Education
Policy and Education Act
- Knowledge on managing USAID and other donor funded education projects
- Skills on training module designing, training facilitation and presentation
- Need to have people management, staff supervision and staff development skills
- Competent to analyse budget and financial
involvement of the partners working in a joint effort and have to be a
strategic thinker
- Have monitoring and audit report analysis skills
