Sector Specialist, Gender Justice & Diversity Programme

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Conduct training need assessment (TNA) and facilitate gender training and capacity building activities
  • Develop and review training materials (Handout, Module, Manual, IEC & BCC) for Gender training, workshop & Forum
  • Plan and conduct different workshop, discussion and dialogs on organizational gender priorities with respective program management
  • Maintain liaison with local level program management (RM, AM, DM, DBR etc.) related to Gender equality activities
  • Ensure GJD participation in District Program Coordination (DPC) and other organization level combine forums/meetings to raise gender responsive work environment issues
  • Plan and ensure celebration of special days and events on gender, women and human rights national and international days
  • Form and follow up SHRT (Sexual Harassment Redresser Team) activity and ensure necessary support
  • Prepare monthly action plan and periodic progress report
  • Support other unit’s activities for knowledge management, M&E and integration as a focal and disseminate communication materials on workplace gender equality actions
  Requirements  

Educational Requirements:

  • Masters in Sociology/ Gender Studies/ Psychology/ Anthropology/ Population Science/ Social Science from any recognized university with all second class/ division or equivalent GPA/ CGPA 2.50 in all academic examinations

Experience Requirements: At least 2 years of working experience in relevant field is preferable

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Need basic understanding on Gender & women empowerment issues
  • Strong Understanding on GJD’s goals and objectives
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in and with teams and
    cross-cultural sensitivity
  • Skills to facilitate different training session, workshop and meeting
  • Knowledge to develop training module , manual and IEC, BCC materials
  • Age Range: Maximum 35 years

Salary Range: Negotiable
