Position |

Head, Programme Development and Fund Raising, CEP and IDP
Job Description/Responsibilities:
- Identify fund raising opportunities such as
announced call for proposals (CFP/ RFP), request for submission of EOI
etc. from different bilateral and multilateral donors and other national
and international funding organisations including Government and other
funding organisations. Take lead in completing internal preparation to
respond to calls
- Respond to identified fund raising opportunities by
developing project proposals, concept notes, technical and financial
proposals etc. as per requirement of the funding organizations and
ensuring submission within due time
- Proactively involve to explore new funding
opportunity and participate in calls, maintain database of donors along
with their interest areas for funding and ensure fund security of the
programmes
- Develop fundraising strategies for successful
engagement with donors, government agencies and corporate sectors.
Research potential donors to gain insight into needs, beliefs and
donation habits to understand how to position BRAC to the donors
- Take initiatives to capture knowledge and document
programme outcomes, lessons learned and good practices through study/
research/ field visit and disseminate internally and externally. Deal
with relevant research related stakeholders like RED and external
researchers
- Collaborate and provide technical support to
programmes for improving programme/ project quality based on collected
knowledge and identified best practices. Provide support in ensuring
timely reporting to donors
- Provide oversight and conceptual clarity for
managing new initiatives, pilot projects and provide feedback to
implementation team to ensure objectivity. Collaborate with M&E team
to ensure learning is captured for future scale up
- Nurture relationship with donors and represent in
advocacy networks/ donor consortium/ forums to make liaison towards
solicit funding and manage all fundraising initiatives
- Ensure timely submission of reports to donors/
management/ government, and maintain effective communication and liaison
with donors, development partners, GOs and other relevant stakeholders
- Leverage technology and social media where possible
to initiate and improve fundraising activities in collaboration with
internal communications and as required within the organisation
- Oversight and guide the work of other members in the
team and support Training Units of the programmes to Identify areas and
take initiatives for capacity building of staff members

Requirements |
|
Educational Requirements:
- Masters in relevant discipline from any recognised
university with minimum 2nd class/ division or equivalent GPA/ CGPA 2.00
in all academic examinations. No third class/ division or below CGPA
2.00 is acceptable
Experience Requirements:
- At least 10 years working experiences with strong
skills and capacity in project/ programme design and development.
Additionally must have at least 5 years experience in donor liaison,
fundraising from diversified donor agencies including UN, EC, DFID,
USAID, and potential government and private sectors
Additional Job Requirements:
- Enough knowledge on development theories in general and practices by NGOs and other development agencies
- Have knowledge on contemporary donors and their
funding interests, project planning and implementation including skills
of budget preparation and knowledge management in theory and practice
- Knowledge on management leadership in general and capacity building issues
in specific
- Have skills on influential capacity to negotiate with multi-level stakeholders
including bi-lateral, national and international donor agencies
- Skills on leadership, excellent interpersonal and communication (both in Bangla
& English), analytical ability, multitasking, time management, facilitation, presentation
& Report writing
- Have competency on adaptability, teamwork, relation building and change management
