Senior Manager, Finance and Accounts, Social Enterprise, BRAC Education Programme

Job Description/Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of all
accounting (including bKash), financial and MIS reports with proper
analysis and interpretation maintaining the generally accepted
professional standards
- Prepare annual budget, manage the preparation of
the budget for business operation in line with the organisations
strategic priorities and overall business goal
- Prepare investment proposal on potential new
business avenues with detail financial analysis for managements review
and approval
- Review and update financial policies and procedures, ensure proper implementation and functioning on those
- Manage a team of MIS and account managers/officers
delineating their responsibilities and ensure their job
accomplishment in a timely, efficient and effective manner. Coach,
train, and mentor them with the aim of strengthening their capacity and
professional development
- Ensure compliance of annual budget, organisational
financial and accounting procedures and other administrative rules in
business operations and report to management on variances from the
established standards
- Monitor and supervise team members for timely preparation of reconciliation statements related to Finance and Accounts
- Analyse costs, pricing, sales results and the
actual performance of the business compared to the pre-set plan and
industry standards and recommend appropriate policies and strategies to
improve business performance
- Maintain effective liaison with the organisations
relevant departments like finance and accounts, procurement, internal
audit, monitoring etc. and external stakeholders like bKash for smooth
operation of the business
- Ensure compliance of the applicable national laws and regulations, e.g. VAT and Tax rules
- Perform field visits to ensure the quality of
field staffs work and verify the accuracy of reported data.
Investigate on reported/ suspected fraud/ complaints and report on them
to management with appropriate recommendation on corrective/
preventive measures
- Respond to the inquiries from the relevant stakeholders regarding financial results, audit complaints and the like

Requirements |
|
Educational Requirements: MBA/
Masters having major in Finance from reputed university preferably
with CGPA of 3.50 but not less than CGPA of 3.00 in all academic
examinations
Experience Requirements: Minimum 5 years of working experience in
Finance/ Accounts with at least 2 years in a managerial position
Additional Job Requirements:
- Knowledge on organisational and national policies and procedures
in accounting function
Age Range: Maximum 35 years |
