Assistant General Manager/ Senior Manager, Monitoring
Job Description/Responsibilities:
- Contribute to strategic planning of Monitoring department and update Monitoring Plan
- Lead the preparation of logical frameworks
- Prepare development programs monitoring workplan and support in implementation
- Supervise regular periodic verification of
activities with checklists (MIS verification) of various programs and
prepare reports
- Conduct monthly field visits at least 30% per month for observing actual vs planned
- Monitor outputs and outcomes of various programs: Planning, design, implementation, analysis, reporting of studies
- Oversee record keeping, documentation and maintenance of various data and information
- Oversee capture of data into computer-based databases and application systems
- Produce analytical tables and matrix as required for reporting on time
- Design the monitoring dashboard for showing regular results
- Maintain and update the dashboard with quarterly results and reports
- Maintain regular coordination with assigned programs and monitoring staffs
- Capacity development of monitoring staff: need assessment, planning, conduct training, follow up
- Ensure continuous analysis of monitoring
information in coordination with other units; and identify potential
problem and inputs to improve the overall programming and operations
- Jointly conduct reflection and learning sessions regularly with the various Programs
- Arrange for proper archiving and use of learnings
- Communicate with research for any possible use of the learnings for further research
- Provide necessary technical support to the Analysts in designing monitoring tools, data analysis and report writing
- Supervise Data Management Assistants in smooth running of overall online monitoring data collection
- Ensure indirect supervision of respective field level staffs

Requirements |
|
Educational Requirements: Masters/ MBA with minimum 2nd class/ division in all academic examination
Experience Requirements: Minimum 5
years of relevant working experience is required in Monitoring and
Evaluation in any national/ international development organisation and
at least 3 years of experience in managerial position. Recent
experience with international development organizations/projects will be
a plus. Knowledge of education and health sector in Bangladesh is
desired.
Additional Job Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge in monitoring and its techniques
- Report writing skills
- Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and SPSS
- Ability to visit field frequently
- Strong strategic and people management skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
