Senior Instructor, Sewing Machine Operation (Project), Skills Development Programme

Job Description/ Responsibilities:

• Plan and organise institutional activities
  
• Make arrangement for prepare session plans and Competency Based Learning Materials(CBLM)
  
• Develop complete training packages and ensure adequate training facilities
  
• Recruit learners, conduct vocational guidance for trainees
  
• Conduct orientation and induction programme
  
• Monitor and supervise technical trainings
  
• Support team for ensuring job placement for trainees
  
• Assist to arrange separate workshop needed for delivering Generic and Sector specific competencies.
  
• Provide Institutional assessment at the completion of each competency and ensure certification
  
• Make arrangement for assessment conducted by BTEB- accredited assessor and conduct post CBT training evaluation
  
• Appraise performance of the teaching staff, non-teaching staff and students
  
• Make necessary arrangement for Apprenticeship program
  
• Work with GOV, NGO, development partners and other skills related stakeholder as assigned by the authority
  
• Conduct OJT training if required
  
• Prepare Competency Skills Logbook( CSLB)
  
• Prepare RPL candidates for the summative assessment

Educational Requirements:

• Diploma in Textile Engineering/ Bachelor’s in any discipline from any recognised university/ institution with all 2st division/ class or equivalent GPA/ CGPA in all academic examinations Candidates having professional degree/ certification in CBT&A level-IV, and Relevant occupation level National Skills Certificate (NSC) under NTVQF will be preferred

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 2 year’ experience in technical and vocational education and skills sector specially in the field of Sewing Machine Operation or RMG sector. Candidates having experience in private sector in employment support service will get preference

Additional Job Requirements:

• Have strong Knowledge on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET)
  
• Have sound technical knowledge on Single Needle Lock Stitch Machine (Auto and Manual), Single Needle Chain Stitch Machine, Double Needle Lock Stitch Machine, Double Needle Chain Stitch Machine,
  Four Thread Overclock Machine (Auto) Six Thread Overclock Machine (Auto),
  Top and Bottom covering chain stitch Machine (Flatbed and Cylinder bed Lock),
  Cloth cutting Machine and others SMO related machine.
  
• Familiar with TVET related curricula development
  
• Have excellent training facilitation skill
  
• Proven staff management skill
  
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  
• Have knowledge on private sector in employment support service
