Proposal Development Associate, Grants (Contractual); Humanitarian Crisis Management Project

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated support to the development of concept notes and proposals
  • Provide support to the technical teams to ensure quality and accurate narrative reports in line with financial reports and donor requirements.
  • Conduct appropriate research in order to ensure that the technical information included in reports and proposals are up to date.
  • Keep record and track all ongoing and completed assignment in the grants tracker
  • Contribute to the general tasks of the grants team
  Requirements  

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelors from any recognized university/ institution with minimum 2nd division/ class or equivalent GPA/ CGPA in all academic examinations. No 3rd division/ class or below CGPA is acceptable. Applicants having commerce (major in finance) background will be preferred

Experience Requirements:

  • Having experience of 1 or 2 year(s) of Grants Proposal Development will get preference
    Background/familiarity with behavior change or/and emergency situations considered an asset

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Ability to understand budgets and financial reports
  • High level of spoken and written English
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines
  • Ability to produce informative and engaging written material
  • Ability to work well in a diverse team
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and the ability to produce well laid out documents
  • Desire to learn and to contribute to the positive development of the grants team
  • Ability to think critically Desired:
  • Understanding of programme implementation in a humanitarian or development setting
  • Knowledge in humanitarian work and policies
  • Working experience in an NGO, INGO or UN agency
  • Working experience with Grants, Proposals and Reports
  • Working experience in written communication
