Logistics Officer,
Obirodh: Road to Tolerance Program
Rajshahi, Bangladesh
Project Summary:
USAID’s Obirodh: Road to Tolerance Program will provide support to
activities aimed at fostering an inclusive and tolerant Bangladesh. The
project’s main office is located in Dhaka, and this position will be
based in the Rajshahi satellite office.
**Please note: Only Bangladeshi citizens
are eligible for this opportunity. Relocation assistance is not
available for this position. If necessary, selected candidates will be
responsible for their own relocation expenses to Rajshahi. **
Position Summary:
The Logistics Officer supports the Program Development
Officer and team and serves as an administrative support to the grants
and operations (GO) teams and grantees.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and archive information, as needed, related to project activity specific functions and administration.
- Track costs and approvals related to project travel for
local staff and book travel arrangements, ensuring backup documentation
for expenses is accurate.
- Support the management of activity specific staff travel
requests and keeping track of pending and ongoing travel in coordination
with the travel agency.
- Support organization of event logistics and planning, as well as maintain a file of any related approval documentation.
- Perform follow up calls to provide confirmation of receipt
of official correspondence, reservations, and other important
communications.
- Maintain an up-to-date list of vendors.
- Provide support to the procurement specialist as needed, and in coordination with the operation manager.
- Perform any other assignments that may be determined by the GO team.
- Travel frequently within assigned area and provide surge support to grantees implementing complex or first-time grants.
Qualifications:
- University degree in a relevant subject.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in administrative and/or financial management.
- At least one (1) year of relevant work experience in Rajshahi.
- Strong English and Bengali speaking and writing capabilities preferred.
- Strong self-initiative: ability to implement and manage program activities tasks proactively, without waiting for instructions.
- Open communication style.
