  Position  

Specialist, WASH (Contractual); Humanitarian Crisis Management Project

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Undertake all activities in accordance with internal management systems, operating procedures and policies and monitor field-based work to maintain compliance
  • Establish record keeping and reporting procedures for all WASH activities in liaison with the Team lead
  • Perform technical assessments and support households on facilities site selection and construction
  • Prepare water source protection schemes wherever necessary in consideration of ecology and natural disasters
  • Arrange and provide capacity strengthening training
  • Supervision and monitoring regular activity, updating the plan versus achievement report
  • Participate in sector meetings and evaluations with other agencies and government departments working in the WASH sector and ensure integration between water, sanitation and health sectors in accordance with the WASH strategy
  • Prepare different situation updates, project and monthly narrative reports
  • Assist the Team lead in managing details sector budget in accordance with funding grants being implemented in fulfillment of funding specified activities, outputs and objectives
  • Assist the team lead in maintaining good relationship with sector partners and donors through timely feedback
  Requirements  

Educational Requirements:

  • Master's or Bachelor degree in any discipline from any reputed university with minimum 2nd division/ class or equivalent GPA/ CGPA in all academic examinations. No 3rd division/ class or below CGPA is acceptable

Experience Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of experience in WASH field is required

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Strong project cycle management skills: assessments, design, Budgeting,
    implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership and staff management & development skill
  • Strong communication skills in both verbal and written English and Bangla.
  • Sound knowledge on MS Office package
  • Able to manage competing priorities and multiple grants
