BRAC International’s microfinance team is seeking
applications from competent, dynamic and self-motivated individuals to
fill the following position:
Director, Human Resources
Job Location: Head Office, BRAC International
Key Responsibilities:
The Director, Human resources will lead and implement HR
strategies across all BI countries and provide advice to senior
management on all related subjects. This job holder will ensure
continuous review and develop of new people-related systems and
processes that support the achievement of the organization’s goals and
strategic objectives.This position will report to the Executive Director
of BRAC International and will lead small team in head office and will
provide functional leadership to the Heads of Human Resources in head
office and BI countries and also have an advisory role to guide the
Country Representatives on critical matters related to human resource
development and management.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following-
- Develop human resource strategies in line with
organizational objectives by identifying human resources concerns and
contributing information
- Implements human resources strategies in relation to
talent management, HR planning, compensation management, health and
welfare benefits, training and development, information
management, succession planning, employee relations and retention
and labour law compliance
- Provide tools and guidance to support and implement
policies and procedures, local and international employment agreements,
information management, benefit summaries and compensation guidelines
- Ensure effective and efficient central HR function including appropriate technology, systems and procedures
- Ensure compliance with local legal requirements in light
of existing and anticipated new legislation, enforce adherence to
requirements and advice management on needed actions
- Work collaboratively with senior management teams,
Country Representatives, HR teams in BI countries, and other
stakeholders to build a culture of excellence and utilization of
maximise human resource capital in the organization
- Supports management by providing human resources advice, and decisions by analysing information and applications
- Develop human resources budget by anticipating
requirements, analysing trends, aligning monetary resources, developing
action plans and annual priorities
Educational Requirements: MBA or Masters Degree, preferably in Human Resource Management.
Required knowledge, skills and competencies:
- Thorough knowledge of human resource management
- Strong strategic and problem solving skills
- Strong people skill with ability to influence and build
credibility at all levels and establish collaborative working
relationships
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Conscientious with high ethical standards
- Ability to effectively work remotely, across time zones, decentralized and geographically diverse organizational structure
- Excellent networking and interpersonal skills
- Ability to determine and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with adequate fluency in English
- Proficient computer skills - specially in Microsoft office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and HRIS systems
Required Experience: 8+
years of progressive experience in relevant field. At least 5 years of
human resources experience in senior management of international
development organization is preferred.
