Position |

District BRAC Representative, Partnership Strengthening Unit (PSU)
No of Vacancy: N/A
Job Description/Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and maintain liaison with Government
authorities at district and upazila level as well as with other private
organisations
- Establish, maintain, and strengthen relationships
with the Government officials, development organisations and relevant
people at local level
- Build strong relationship with journalists of both
print and electronic media at district and upazila level and publish
articles/ success stories in the local and national newspapers
- Attend different meeting/ workshop and programmes organised by BRAC and local administration. Invite
- Government officials for their participation in BRAC programmes authorised by PSU
- Organise field visits for the Government officials of district and upazila administration
- Organise and implement exposure visits for both
national and international delegates by taking all sorts of assistance
from the local programme management
- Play role as designated officer in line with Right
to Information (RTI) Act and provide information to applicants according
to the RTI Act
- Organise/ coordinate celebration of National and International Days and other special programmes
- Ensure certifications from office of the Deputy
Commissioners (DCs) and Upazila Nirbahi Officers (UNOs) to release fund
from the NGO Affairs Bureau
- Act as an Incident Commander and maintain effective coordination with Humanitarian Programme during the natural disaster
- Facilitate District Programme Coordination (DPC)
meeting, take discussion notes, prepare meeting minutes and circulate it
through e-mail across BRAC
- Play active role being member of District Case Management Committee (DCMC) and Land Management
Administering special duties for emergency situations

Requirements |
|
Educational Requirements:
- Masters in any discipline from any recognised
university/ institution with minimum 2nd division/ class or equivalent
GPA/ CGPA in all academic examinations. No 3rd division/ class or below
CGPA is acceptable
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience is required in Government liaison and coordination
Additional Job Requirements:
- Have sound knowledge on Government Organogram and protocol
- Have excellent understanding on development sectors
- Strong organising, facilitation and networking skills
- Able to generates new ideas and proposes new, more effective ways of doing things
- Excellent report writing skill and able to prepare meeting minutes, press release
- Excellent communicator with strong writing and verbal communication skills in
both English and Bangla
- Very good command of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint and
familiar with using email and internet browsing
