Senior Programme Manager, Organisational Capacity Development, GJ&D
Job Description/Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, develop, and deliver organizational
solutions that accelerate critical capabilities and skills at the
organizational level to support the BRAC Gender Strategy and drive
gender responsive performance
- Ensure effective management and implementation of the capacity development strategy and programme
- Undertake an analysis of the current training
modalities to understand cross cutting issues, identify entry points to
strengthen and mainstream cross-cutting issues including gender and
environment
- Lead in the organisation of advance level training,
learning visits (internal and external) for gender related capacity
development of GJ&D and partner programme staff
- Oversee the development of gender sensitive training
modules and materials for GJ&D, review publications and other
IEC/BCC materials to ensure that they include gender sensitive
information
- Lead and manage the capacity development plan for
BRAC staff in promoting gender equality, VAWC, gender responsive work
environment and climate change adaptation
- Facilitate Gender responsive institutional capacity,
system & mechanism with HR&LD for increasing female staff and
women’s leadership in BRAC
- Create and manage the procurement and contracting
process for additional vendor support in conjunction with OD work. This
includes writing the scope of work, collaborating with Procurement and
Contracts Division on the request for proposal, serving on the
evaluation panel, and being the project manager for the executed
contract
- Strategic oversight of planning, budgeting,
implementing and monitoring of the capacity development programme,
tracking use of financial resources in accordance with BRAC rules and
regulations and of capacity building expected outcomes in line with
programme expectations
- Support Monitoring &Evaluation and Knowledge
Management teams to ensure OrganisationalDevelopment result tracking of
Gender responsive work environment actions and other Organisational
Development actions
- Identify sources of information, identify and
synthesize best practices and lessons learned directly linked to the
capacity development programme

Requirements |
|
Educational Requirements:
- Masters degree in Sociology/ Social work/ Gender
Studies/ Psychology from any recognised university with all second
class/ division or equivalent GPA/ CGPA 2.50 in all academic
examinations
Experience Requirements:
- At least 10 years of experience of working in gender
and women empowerment issues with 5 years in training on gender in
organization development
Additional Job Requirements:
- Have conceptual Knowledge on gender equality issues, policies, priorities and programmes in the context of Bangladesh
- Excellence academic in Social Science; focusing on Gender and women empowerment or Organizational Psychology
- Familiarity with traditional and modern training
methods (adult learning, mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom
training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc.)
- Innovative thinker and builder to play a key role in
delivering on BRAC’s gender mission of creating a gender responsive
culture that empowers employees
- Analytical and decision-making skills, group facilitation skills, innovative
problem solving skills, consulting and influencing skills
- Extremely strong written and verbal communication skills and cross-cultural sensitivity
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills, ability
to manage relationships with both internal and external partners.
- Skills on developing Organization Development approaches
- Excellent team player and building relationships
