Position |
|
Officer, Infrastructure Development, Urban Development Programme
Job Description/Responsibilities:
- Assist for drawings & specifications in
preparation of subcontractor scope. Identify and support implementation
of demand based (Urban) WASH/ infrastructure technologies and
interventions
- Prepare the specifications for all equipment that is required for each project
- Continuous follow up of progress in implementing
WASH/ infrastructure interventions against Community Action Plan,
identify opportunity/ constraint, provide appropriate feedback &
support to ensure smooth and effective implementation of the projects
- Ensure quality control of the infrastructure
development related work (budget, estimate, schedule, plans, worker’s
performance) and report regularly on project status. Review engineering
deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
- Assist the community meson/ worker and other project participants to provide assistance and ensure technical support
- Prepare context specific innovations of relevant
infrastructures and pilot the interventions according to local demand
and based on CAP
- Interact daily with the clients (meson, worker, CDO
members) to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in
the field
- Assist and provide guidance to the relevant field
staff, take initiative of their capacity development, and monitor and
evaluate the performance of all supervisee staff
- Insure, drive, achieve and maintain agreed quality and standard during construction for sustainability issue

Requirements |
|
Educational Requirements:
- B.Sc/ Diploma in Civil Engineering from any
recognised university/ institutions with minimum second class/ division
or equivalent GPA/ CGPA in all academic examinations
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ of experience in relevant field
Additional Job Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage large scale and complex projects
- Have knowledge on current national and global development trends related to urban poverty and urban development
- Have skills on community organising and social mobilisation
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Skills in documentation, facilitation & reporting
- Strong analytical skills and possess a proven track record of working successfully in a variety of cultural contexts
- Awareness of political processes and protocols
