  Position  

Project Coordinator, Gender Justice and Diversity programme (Contractual)

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Develop project operational strategies, approach, policy guideline and overall implementation plan in line with the proposal in coordination with the Steering Committee
  • Ensure regular monitoring including baseline and end-line surveys and strengthen national level knowledge products in the field of engage men and boys to reduce violence against women and children
  • Lead the project implementation process as per proposal and take initiative to measure it progress from the standard of Amplify Change guideline and milestone
  • Initiate to increased capacity of EMB network to build technical and conceptual capacity for implementing project interventions and build strong coordination among network members and potential allies i.e. youth, religious leaders, key influential people, journalists, members of civil society of seven divisions
  • Ensure interventions like university campaign, school campaign, youth campaign and fellowship to students regional conference, capturing knowledge and national level evidence based learning sharing of this project
  • Coach & mentor project staff to improve their programming and analytical skills which include skills in project planning, management, communication and monitoring activities
  • Develop cooperative attitudes among network members and different stakeholders
  • Facilitate to develop project M&E system to ensure tracking and reporting of project results
  • Ensure functioning of EMB network towards policy advocacy on VAWC, Child Marriage issue and Engage Men and boys at divisions, districts and national level
  • Ensurebudget analysis, budget projection, cost efficiency and effective fund management of the project
  • Ensure regular coordination and liaison with the BRAC GJD and network members for ensuring smooth implementation of the project
  • Finalize all project related documents, periodic reports, donor report etc. and timely summation and maintain effective communication with Amplify Change, BRAC GJD and relevant stakeholder with impact
  • Manage and Supervise the field staff and review midyear annual performance appraisal including managing grievance of the team
  • Attend Network meeting and Support Network for adopting new strategic directions based on project’s learning
  • Any other work assigned by BRAC GJD and Project Steering Committee
  Requirements  

Educational Requirements:

  • Masters in Social Science from any recognised university with all second class/ division or equivalent GPA/ CGPA 2.50 in all academic examinations

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years professional experience on gender equality and women empowerment in the development sector

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Have conceptual Knowledge on gender equality issues, policies, priorities and programmes in the context of Bangladesh
  • Excellence academic in Social Science focusing on Gender and women empowerment or Organizational Psychology
  • Have Accountability, Creativity and Integrity
    strong understanding on Gender Analysis tools and practical knowledge and skills to use them
  • Leadership ability and People management skills
  • Sound knowledge and understanding on gender and women development, gender mainstreaming, masculinity and capacity to link with other development agenda.
  • At least 7 years of senior management experience in a large organization
  • Experience in active involvement with women movement at national, regional
    and global level
  • An influential communicator and demonstration ability
  • Ability to network effectively with the ability to develop a wide range of relevant contacts
  • Ability to manage multiple complex job duties and project-based work
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, social justice, innovation and collaboration
