Head, Estate

Job Description/ Responsibilities:

  • Lead the BRAC Estate Department & supervise all activities of the unit.
  • Manage all BRAC land and ensure appropriate utilization of unutilized land.
  • Prepares annual management plans as needed, with input from Director, Administration and Road Safety Programme.
  • Oversee compliance issues related to land and estate matters.
  • Prepare and analyze Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and budget projections and adjusts strategies accordingly.
  • Conduct various meetings with panel lawyer, concerned programme managements towards resolution of land related issues.
  • Identify the overall risk of BRAC land and take appropriate steps accordingly.
  • Liaison with District Court/High Court/ Supreme Court Lawyers for High Valued and sensitive land related cases.
  • Communicate and maintain liaison with BRAC legal department, different Govt. offices, Judiciary and different regulatory authority etc.
  • Analyze all Court documents/MIS and take necessary steps accordingly.
  • Monitor and ensure payment of Land development tax, local government dues of all BRAC land and Dealing with land related litigations.
  • Protect land from grabbers, squatters and false claimants.
  • Manage house tenant, hiring of offices and others premises.
  • Administrate lease agreements and MOU, Maintain contacts with tenants landlords, police, land revenue offices, local bodies and concerned government offices.
  Requirements  

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Urban Planning, Law or related field from any recognized UGC approved university with minimum all 2nd division/ class or equivalent GPA/ CGPA. Third division/ class or CGPA below 2.00 is not acceptable.

Experience: Minimum 10 years’ experience in managing land / property.

Additional Job Requirement:

  • Applicants from BCS Administration & Judiciary (on lien) or recent retired officers from above cadre will have added advantage.
  • General knowledge of current legal and regulatory developments in respect of Estate and land.
  • Sound understanding of the legal and financial aspects of land / property.
  • Strategic planning including forward planning and forecasting.
  • Ability to vet land document and give legal opinion in writing.
  • Good command of commercial Management and leasing practices ability to analyze, evaluate and act on issues and/or problems, reach sound conclusions and take appropriate action.
  • Possess good verbal, written and interpersonal Communication skills, as well as good computer skills.
