Deputy Manager, Technology for Development; Skills Development Programme (SDP)

Job Description/ Responsibilities:
- Support SDP's all project to build Business Intelligence platform and to move into a digital information system
- Data mining using state-of-the-art methods and visualize it according to the requirement of the programme and the donor
- Design, develop, test, implement and maintain predictive models and metrics utilizing appropriate tools and techniques
- Participate in data talks to share the key insight
from data analysis to SDP and other programmes of BRAC to increase the
operational efficiency of the programme
- Improve efficiency of the system by continuously collecting feedback from the users
- Support the team to plan and build staff capacity
to use newly intervened systems by preparing training modules and
organizing training sessions.
- Prepare budget for the unit and monitor expenses.
- Synthesize and communicate technical design rationale and development progress to team
- Contribute to project planning and business
development to ensure that technical aspects are well-integrated into
broader project goals.
- Prepare TOR for external consultants new tech-requirements (If needed)

Requirements |
|
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical and
Electronics Engineering, Information Systems or ICT4D from any reputed
University with all second class/ division or equivalent GPA/ CGPA in
academic examinations. No 3rd division/ class or equivalent CGPA is
acceptable
Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in back-end system architecture/data-oriented position is required
Additional Job Requirement:
- Good knowledge on ICT4D, Urban development, Social protection and labour markets
- Skills on Statistical analysis, Data mining, Data analytics
- Proven experience in database integration among different platforms.
- Ability to produce quality work with a high degree
of accuracy, good problem solving skills, organizational capabilities
and attention to detail, high degree of initiative and ability to work
independently
- Ability to think strategically and rapidly analyse,
interpret and integrate data information from varied sources into clear
conclusions and recommendations
- Ability to work under tight time constraints, multitask with ease, and adjust plans in face of changing priorities
- Ability to use strong interpersonal and teamwork
skills to cultivate effective, productive client relationships and
partnerships and generate excitement around data
- Strong writing and data presentation skills
