  Position  

Manager, Communication & Outreach, Integrated Development Programme (Contractual)

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of communication and branding strategy and roll out the same within BRAC, donor and partner organization with aligned understanding of BRAC’s central communication and branding guideline
  • Ensure visibility and branding of the programme and its partners through developing IEC and visible materials (printed and electronic) maintaining the branding compliance of all programme partners (BRAC, donor, partner etc.)
  • Organize and ensure development of audio, visual materials (video, documentary, radio script, digital photo album) and photo shoot events for programme visibility
  • Support provided to organize national and field based campaign events and day observations with material development, event planning, media coverage
  • Collect success cases from field offices and directly to prepare success cases for newsletter, website, newspaper, social media circulation and sharing of published news with donors and relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure programme news publication in newspaper, online news portals, BRAC website, social media for mass communication
  • Represent BRAC and IDP in different meetings, workshops, seminars held within organization or with donors, partners and external events.
  • Prepare different reports (Progress report, Annual report, visit report, event report) for donors and internal communication along with providing support in proposal development for new partnership development
  • Provide necessary support in developing capacity of programme staff on communication, success story, branding, event organizing and media coverage issues through continuous feedback, issue based special sessions and trainings
  Requirements  

Educational Requirements:

  • Masters in Development Studies/ Mass communication and Journalism/ English from any recognised university with minimum 2nd class / division or equivalent GPA/ CGPA. No third class/ division or below CGPA 2.50 is acceptable

Experience Requirements:

  • At least at least 4 years’ experience in the related field with national level NGOS or INGOs

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Excellence in creative writing and developing materials with ability to present ideas
  • Demonstrated strong leadership and managerial capacity
  • Expertise in communication and coordination
  • Extensive experience in publication, media engagement and linkage building with networks
  • Computer skills: English and Bangla typing, Designing software, MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Movie Maker
  • Ability to develop Communication/ IEC/ BEC materials with message development and designing idea considering target audience
  • Campaigns experience with event organization, media coverage and using digital platform like website, social media
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience on the development arena and
    contributing to strategy development
  • Understanding and wide ranging experience of employing communication
    techniques and tools to influence an advocacy agenda
  • Experience on Media Communication and Media Partnership
  • Experience on working with donor community including first-hand knowledge on
    proposal development, donor reporting
  • Experience of report preparation, documentation and dissemination
