Assistant General Manager, Admin and Logistics (Contractual); HCMP
Job Description/Responsibilities:
DIMENSIONS:
- Is required to collate information from a wide range of well-defined sources
- Management of a limited budget
- Resolves diverse problems with impact in defined area
- Manages problems of which some may be unprecedented
whilst others may have occurred previously, and some of which may be
complex
- This role has significant internal and external impact
- Works corporately across divisions or communicates corporately
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide overall management and co-ordination of the work of the administration and logistics teams
- Manage HCMP BRAC Admin and Logistic staff and
service providers effectively, using corporate systems and ensuring
competencies are equal to the programme’s demands
- Support the HCMP Management Team on Logistics,
Admin and Government relations issues – with responsibility for
ensuring effective communication, guidance and transfer of knowledge
- Ensure timely and effective compliance with all
government approvals and other accountability mechanisms, and provide a
central point of liaison for government
- Regularly coordinate with NGO Affairs Bureau and
related ministry regarding different pending issues and take necessary
actions for getting approval/ clearance in a timely manner
- Provide effective administrative and logistics
support to the HCMP BRAC in Bangladesh programme, including transport,
accommodation and venue support as required
- Liaise with region and affiliate teams, ensuring
local priorities and logistics policies and procedures are understood
and applied effectively
- Utilize and develop management and technical systems as required
- Draw up operation budgets for HCMP operation
- Ensure that proper administration and logistics systems and procedures are followed in the procurement of goods and services
- Actively embodies the centrality of influencing in HCMP BRAC in Bangladesh’s country strategy

Requirements |
|
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters in any discipline from any reputed university/ institutions
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience providing a whole
range of administration and logistics services to an organization,
ideally with at least 5 to 6 years in an International NGO prior to 3-5
years humanitarian aid experience
Additional Job Requirements:
- Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills
- Hold relevant Administration and/or Logistics qualifications. MBA desirable
- Proven financial management skills and human resources skills
- Proven knowledge of computerized systems and
demonstrable experience of working with computerized logistics packages
and spreadsheets
- Ability to influence senior managers and peers over a wide range of issues
- Ability to develop close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong communication skills including the ability to deliver complex and technical messages in simple terms
- Able to work in highly pressured environments
- Behavioral role model for peers and fellow team members
- Ability to adapt to different cultures
- Demonstrate commitment and sensitivity to gender issues
