Position |
|
Position: Programme Manager, Programme Development and KM, Gender Justice and Diversity Programme
Job Description/Responsibilities:
- Contribute to develop and update a resource
mobilization strategy on identified theories of change, programme
strategies and strategic plans to ensure diversification of resource
base and identified funding needs are met
- Identify new areas for GJ&D interventions and
programmatic expansions and develop new project/ interventions designs
and implementation strategies and plans accordingly
- Search and identify new funding opportunities and
coordinate with relevant stakeholder for decision making processes,
ensure compliance with programme’s strategy and organizational
strategies and procedures
- Coordinate the design of new projects and proposals
in collaboration with program team and writing project proposal and
prepare proposals including technical and financial proposals and
project concept notes
- Execute knowledge management strategy including
design, architecture, and creation of essential infrastructure and
systems to support knowledge sharing and information management
- Responsible to work with programme management,
M&E and implementation unit to develop quality management strategy
of projects of GJ&D
- Coordinate with team leaders of different projects
of GJ&D for developing tools and protocols for project quality
management
- Coordinate closely with relevant stakeholders to
ensure smooth project start up (FD6, responding to queries of donor
etc.) for awarded projects and coordinate with relevant team leaders to
ensure consistency, cross-learning and cohesion between programs and
large initiatives
- Support inception and orientation workshops for new
projects activities and provide technical support to cross-cutting
programmes of GJ&D
- Lead and manage Knowledge Management and Communication team to achieve results
- Coordinates efforts to mainstream knowledge
management/ strategy /learning into core GJ&D activities and
processes including project management and new business development
- Collaborate with M&E team to publish and share relevant information and knowledge for targeted audiences
- Responsible to develop, support and facilitate
knowledge and information management related to implementation of the
projects as well as the GJ&D library including documentation of all
key activities and learning points and producing knowledge products
accordingly in order to facilitate replication of good practices and
learning
- Lead the development of the GJ&D newsletter and
other external communication materials and play a key role in knowledge
integration and dissemination as well as introduce new tools and
technology that can enhance the function of GJ&D
- Lead media relationship to maximize the visibility
of GJ&D and ensure print, electronic and social media engagement
from GJ&D

Requirements |
|
Educational Requirements:
- Masters degree in Social Science/ International
Development Studies/ Gender Studies from any recognised university with
all second class/ division or equivalent GPA/ CGPA 2.50 in all academic
examinations
Experience Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in relevant field
Additional Job Requirements:
- Have conceptual Knowledge on gender equality issues, policies, priorities and programmes in the context of Bangladesh
- Excellent track record in assured funding from different sources
- Skills in resource mobilization and proposal writing for large donors like EU grants, Global Fund, UN grants etc.
- Have experience of proposal development and project design
- Demonstrable knowledge, experience and capabilities
relating to designing and implementing gender equality concerns in
designing new programme/ project and implementing gender equality
promotion actions and gender mainstreaming
- Have experience in communications and knowledge management
- Skills on leadership and people management,
strategic thinking, decision making and problem solving, project design
and proposal writing, qualitative and quantitative research methods
- Ability to express ideas and facts in writing and
orally in a clear, organized and convincing manner appropriate to the
audience
- Ability to improve performance by doing new things which can include the introduction of an innovative process
- Excellent team player and building relationships
