  Position  

Position: Assistant General Manager, Accounts; Finance and Accounts

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Support the preparation of monthly management report (Budget vs. actual Expenditure statement) for six programs for timely submission to the BRAC management
  • Review of Cash Requisition Report (Quarterly) and Progress Update & Disburse Request (PU/DR) for timely submission to Global Fund
  • Support the verification of Cash Book to identify miscoding and perform rectification
  • Support the preparation of monthly and yearly Financial Reports for six programs
  • Perform the verification on the Financial Report of SR /Partner NGOs to ensure accuracy and verifiability
  • Support the Audit and Monitoring activities conducted by OIG, LFA, and Internal & External Auditor by providing relevant documents and insights for management response delivery
  • Communicate with Program/SRs/LFA/NTP on financial aspects for smooth operation of Development Programs
  • Facilitate Financial Management workshop for PR and SRs Accountant to enhance capacity development
  • Support the preparation of Chart of Accounts and submission of Closing Financial Report to Donor
  • Support the Management to draw Field Monitoring Plan and review of Financial Monitoring Report
  • Make arrangement to transfer funds periodically (Monthly for PR and Quarterly for SRs)
  • Provide time bound support for Grant Closing activities pertain to financial matters
  • Assist Supervisor on expert review of various financial deliverables to Donor and submitting required response as and when required
  • Any other task assigned by the Management time to time
  Requirements  

Educational Requirements:

  • ACCA/CA or Masters from any reputed university or institutions with minimum 2nd division/ class in all academic examinations

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in Accounts / Finance / Audit / Budget is required

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge on Financial Management, Accounting, Budgeting, Finance, Auditing, Tax, VAT
  • Should be sincere, polite, dynamic, hardworking and willing to work under pressure
  • Should have good communication skills in both Bengali and English
  • Sound knowledge on Computer Literacy
