Job Context
- We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager specializing in Electrical & Electronic Engineering to oversee maintenance operations for our fleet of ships & Shipyard. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipboard electrical systems, troubleshooting, and planned maintenance activities, ensuring all marine electronic and electrical systems function optimally.
Job Description/Responsibility
- Supervise and execute electrical and electronic maintenance activities aboard ships and onshore.
- Plan, schedule, and ensure completion of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical/electronic issues on propulsion systems, navigation systems, power distribution, automation systems, etc.
- Assist in dry-docking projects, surveys, and retrofitting of electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with Class, Flag State, and international maritime electrical regulations.
- Prepare maintenance reports, fault diagnostics, and repair records.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and OEMs for spare parts and service contracts.
- Lead and train technical staff and onboard electricians.
- Support energy efficiency and system upgrade initiatives.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical control systems, navigation systems, automation equipment, and communication systems.
- Provide technical support during audits, inspections, and surveys.
- Ensure compliance with safety and marine regulatory standards (e.g., IMO, Class, Flag).
- Collaborate with shipyard engineering, mechanical, and operations teams.
- Manage and supervise electrical maintenance technicians and contractors.

- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
- Master of Science (MSc) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Marine Engineering
- Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology, Khulna University of Engineering and Technology, Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University students will get preference
Experience Requirements
7 - 10 years of experience is required.

Skills Requirements
- Age 35 to 45 years
- Knowledge of PLC, SCADA systems, electrical drawings and troubleshooting tools.
- Marine electrical license or certifications.
- Experience with newbuild or retrofitting projects.
- Good understanding of international maritime codes and standards.
- Ability to work in dockyards, shipyards, or onboard vessels.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and MS Office.
- Good communication and project coordination abilities.
